Services Not included in Basic TAK Subscription Fee:

The Basic Tier is a self-managed TAK installation. After initial installation and setup, all TAK maintenance and administration is performed by the customer, including username and password-based authentication.  Aerial Defence Ltd will provide technical support to ensure the virtual machine hosting TAK Server is up and running, and continually patched.

Cloud Services

  • Procurement and configuration of a 4 CPU / 8 GB Memory / 160 GB Disk instance.
  • OS installation and OS-level security hardening.
  • Application of TAK-specific firewall policies.

TAK Services and Support

  • TAK Server installation and basic secure configuration.
  • Enabling Transport Layer Security (TLS) with x509 digital certificates.
  • Disabling all non-TLS services.
  • Certificate generation and management.
  • Configuration of data retention policy, with default of nightly deletion older than 7 days.

Technical Support

  • Periodic operating system patches and security updates.
  • Troubleshooting of server or network outages.
  • Telephone and email support 8am-8pm GMT, Monday through Friday.

Services Not included in Essential TAK Subscription Fee:

  • Federation configuration.
  • Non-TAK managed user authentication mechanism (e.g., configuration with Active Directory).
  • Additional user certificate generation (beyond 500).

Cloud Services

  • Procurement and configuration of TWO 4 CPU / 8 GB Memory / 160 GB Disk instances.
  • OS installation and OS-level security hardening.
  • Application of TAK-specific firewall policies.

TAK Services and Support

  • TAK Server installation and basic secure configuration.
  • Enabling Transport Layer Security (TLS) with x509 digital certificates.
  • Disabling all non-TLS services.
  • Configuration of a second separate virtual machine to house the TAK database for increased scalability.
  • Certificate generation and management up to 1000 certificates.

Technical Support

  • Periodic OS patching (i.e., security updates).
  • Troubleshooting of server or network outages.
  • Telephone Support. Telephone and email support 8am-8pm GMT, Monday through Friday.
  • Annual TAK Server Software version updates (if the total duration of the Service ordered by the User exceeds 6 months, then the User will be entitled to an Upgrade, at the User’s request).
