A urgent Parliamentary debate took place today (14/01/2025) on the alarming rise in drones being used to smuggle drugs into UK prisons.  The consequences for national security, prison stability, and the funding of Organised Crime Groups (OCGs) are deeply concerning.  This is an issue I’m passionate about and will address further at another time.

With that in mind, here’s a video from last week showing individuals arriving at a UK prison in reportedly over £7 million worth of supercars to collect a released prisoner—a brazen display of wealth suggestively tied to crime.

It’s hard not to feel frustrated seeing this. The combination of such bold displays and the increasing use of drones to facilitate criminal activity underscores how confident these OCGs have become.
